Simulation as reference

Trust our experience ...

From our experience based on ...

·         conventional cars to Formula 1 simulations
·         2 to over 50 degrees of freedom models development
·         linear to fully non linear models optimisations
·         flat straight lines to 3D tracks simulations

... we develop performance criterions:

·         capable of accurately linking vehicle dynamics fundamentals to real car behaviour
·         based on the simulation tools
·         to support design and race decisions: simple, logical and robust

... and dare more degrees of freedom !

...in DYNSIM simulation software :

·         DYNLONGI, a 15 degrees of freedom longitudinal dynamics model

·         DYNLAT, a 7 degrees of freedom lateral dynamics model
(stand alone or both integrated models purchasable)

Simulating through time with DYNSIM

DYNSIM ahead of the conventional car industry over the years ...

DYNSIM project has served the French car industry in many ways, from the Department of Transport to the ONSER (Office National de la Sécurité Routière). With Renault and Peugeot as historic development partners, offering a wide and strong experimental validation support to the vehicle dynamics models.

DYNSIM is the fruit of a continuous improvement ...

Directly linked to the history of motorsport, DYNSIM project was started in the 60s. Then 70s will be a key period when simulations are taking over on any experimental approach on racing car.
There was an incredible versatile engineering. Each team member had to be at the same time chassis designer / aerodynamic developer / simulation expert / race engineer / test and data technician and pilot. The development speed was outstanding because the car was understood as a global system. Today, DYNSIM is the fruit of this understanding and the continuous simulation development through time.
Nowadays, engineering simulations are ruling all advanced motorsport competition including WRC, endurance and Formula. In this competition, DYNSIM has shown the highest level of competitiveness.

"Integration of experimental techniques for the optimisation of motorsport dynamic simulation models"
Professional MotorSport World Expo 2010 (17th of Novembre 2010)

The handling behaviour of motorsport vehicles has progressively increased its importance due to the limitations on weight, engine power and other regulations. Whatever the competition category, engineering teams are forced to tune their vehicles in order to optimise the vehicle performance in each bend of a circuit, and for every kind of pavement, weather and driving condition.

This workshop will show how laboratory and proving ground tests, in combination with simulation models, can be effectively integrated to speed up the optimisation of motorsport chassis development and improve dynamic behaviour.
